We chose to be part of the change. And to make a difference.
We’re proud to announce the partnership between Rdcom and Girls Code It Better, the initiative by Officina Futuro – Fondazione W-Group ETS that has been bringing technology into Italian classrooms for years, with a clear goal: to get more girls into STEM careers.
It’s a hands-on, high-impact project. And that’s exactly the kind we believe in.
What is Girls Code It Better?
Girls Code It Better was created with a clear mission: reduce the gender gap in tech by directly involving girls in digital creativity and entrepreneurship.
Through dedicated clubs in secondary schools, students explore technologies like electronics, 3D modelling, app development, programming, web design, virtual and augmented reality, videomaking, and gaming — all within a collaborative, inclusive and highly practical environment.
Since 2014, more than 16,000 girls have been involved in 600 real-world projects, with the support of hundreds of teachers and educators, in more than 500 schools across Italy.
And it doesn’t end there. In addition to the main project, Girls Code It Better also promotes:
- GCIB Step Up, an advanced program for girls who want to develop more in-depth skills in real business settings;
- STEM Your Brain, an initiative also targeting mixed groups to combat the digital divide from an early age.
Why did we choose to support it?
Because we believe in it.
Because in our tech team, the gender gap has never existed. And we want more and more girls to feel that this world is also made for them.
Through this collaboration, we’re putting our experience to work – sharing what it means to be a tech company where inclusion is a fact, not a slogan.
What will we do together?
We’ll listen. We’ll share. We’ll participate.
We’ll support Girls Code It Better by spreading its values, joining events, spotlighting its projects, and sharing stories of talent, skills, and opportunity.
